Key Responsibilities\n

• Establish and maintain positive, trusting relationships with clients to foster a safe therapeutic environment.

• Conduct thorough diagnostic assessments to identify mental health disorders in individuals, couples, and families.

• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans tailored to the specific needs, goals, and circumstances of each client.

• Facilitate ongoing counseling sessions, employing evidence-based therapeutic modalities such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), solution-focused therapy, and systemic family therapy.

• Regularly evaluate client progress and adjust treatment methodologies as necessary to achieve optimal outcomes.

• Refer clients to specialized services or resources when additional support is required, ensuring comprehensive care.

• Maintain accurate clinical documentation in compliance with organizational policies and ethical standards.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

The LMFT will work with a diverse patient population, including individuals grappling with anxiety, depression, relationship issues, and family dynamics. You will also address more complex cases such as those involving trauma and co-occurring disorders, striving to support clients in achieving healthier lifestyles through tailored therapeutic interventions.

Qualifications\n

• Master's or doctoral degree in Marriage and Family Therapy, Counseling, Social Work, Psychology, or a closely related field.

• A valid and active license as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) in the state of Virginia.

Compensation and Benefits\n
