Job Summary:
An ICU Registered Nurse (ICU RN) position is available in Springfield, Illinois. This role involves providing specialized care to critically ill adult patients within a Level I trauma center. Candidates are required to bring their Illinois nursing license on the first day of the assignment. The shift is nights, scheduled for 12 hours per shift, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
Job Details:
- Location: Springfield, Illinois
- Schedule: Nights, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week
- Required Qualifications: Minimum of 0 years of experience; active Illinois license; certifications including BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS; Cerner charting system experience
- Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS required; AHA and Red Cross only certifications accepted, RQI cards not accepted
- Unit Type: Intensive Care Unit (ICU) within an acute care hospital, Level I trauma center, with 562 beds
- Patient Ratio Experience: 1:2-3
- Additional Information: Candidates will float within hospital or to nearby affiliate hospitals. Flu vaccine required; medical and religious exemptions only. The assignment begins on 06/22/2026.
- Submission Requirements: Provide 2-3 interview times upon submission. SSN and DOB required at submission. Ensure licensure is in hand before applying. Confirm traveller has reviewed housing and compliance needs.
- Experience: 18 months of unit-specific experience or as specified in the job description.
