Desktop Support Analyst

Overview We are seeking a highly motivated Tier II Desktop Support Technician to provide white glove technical support in a fast-paced Windows enterprise environment. This individual will serve as a key escalation point for complex desktop, endpoint, and end-user issues while delivering exceptional customer service to executives, VIP users, and business stakeholders. The ideal candidate will possess strong troubleshooting skills across Windows operating systems, hardware, networking, collaboration technologies, and mobile devices. This role requires excellent communication skills, professionalism, and the ability to provide a high-touch support experience while maintaining responsiveness and technical excellence. Responsibilities Provide Tier II desktop support for Windows 10 and Windows 11 environments. Deliver white glove support to executive leadership, VIP users, and business-critical personnel. Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, operating system, network connectivity, and application issues. Support desktops, laptops, docking stations, printers, monitors, conference room technology, and mobile devices. Manage Active Directory tasks including user account creation, password resets, group membership changes, and account administration. Support Microsoft 365 applications including Outlook, Teams, OneDrive, SharePoint, and Office suite products. Provide advanced troubleshooting for VPN connectivity, remote access, and authentication issues. Install, configure, deploy, and maintain workstation hardware and software. Utilize ITSM tools to document incidents, service requests, resolutions, and asset information. Support meeting and collaboration technologies including Microsoft Teams Rooms, Zoom Rooms, conference room AV systems, and presentation equipment. Perform workstation imaging, deployments, hardware refreshes, and technology rollouts. Coordinate escalation activities with infrastructure, network, systems, and cybersecurity teams when necessary. Assist with onboarding and offboarding processes, including equipment provisioning and account access management. Maintain inventory of IT assets, peripherals, and spare equipment. Create and maintain technical documentation, user guides, and support procedures. Participate in after-hours support, special projects, and on-call rotations as required. Required Qualifications 3+ years of Desktop Support or End User Support experience in a Windows environment. Experience supporting Windows 10 and Windows 11 operating systems. Strong knowledge of Active Directory user and group administration. Experience supporting Microsoft 365 and Exchange Online environments. Knowledge of networking fundamentals including: TCP/IP DNS DHCP VPN LAN/WAN connectivity Wireless networking Experience troubleshooting desktop hardware, peripheral devices, and printer issues. Familiarity with endpoint management tools such as SCCM, Intune, MECM, or similar platforms. Experience supporting mobile devices including iOS and Android. Strong customer service, communication, and interpersonal skills. Ability to interact professionally with executives and senior leadership. Preferred Qualifications Experience providing executive or VIP support. Experience with Microsoft Intune and Azure Active Directory (Entra ID). Knowledge of Microsoft Teams Rooms and conference room AV technologies. Familiarity with PowerShell administration and automation. Experience supporting enterprise security tools and MFA solutions. Exposure to VMware, Citrix, or virtual desktop environments. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Boston, MA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $35.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
