In this position, you will:

• Guide a caseload of fourteen 6th and 7th graders, delivering instructional math and ELA for 6th grade, and team-teaching science and social studies in 7th grade.
• Work a consistent 32.75-hour week, Monday through Friday, from 8:00am to 3:15pm (42-minute unpaid lunch).
• Foster an inclusive, engaging classroom environment supporting diverse learning needs.
• Collaborate closely with general education teachers and multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs).
• Track student progress and maintain open communication with families.

Qualifications:

• Valid Special Education licensure or certification (Illinois or eligible for reciprocity).
• Previous experience teaching special education, preferably with middle school students.
• Strong collaboration and communication skills.
• Commitment to delivering differentiated instruction.
