At Young, YOU are at the core of what we do.**Position Overview:**As a CNC Machinist, you will set up, operate, and maintain CNC equipment to ensure accurate and efficient production according to technical specifications. Operators interpret blueprints, determine the required machine settings, and select appropriate cutting speeds, depths, feeds, and tooling for each operation. Decisions are guided by experience, knowledge of materials, and fundamental mathematical principles. Full medical, dental, vision, 401k, parental leave, paid holidays, paid time off, and more!* Ability to autonomously run existing equipment and learn new automated machinery**What You’ll Do:*** **Machine Operation and Technical Skills** + Operate, set up, and maintain multiple complex machines + Deburr parts (manual and rotary buff) + Operate part cleaning/polishing equipment + Operate optical comparator, EDM, Calipers, micrometers, and other tools + Position and secure tools in holders; verify positions using gauges and measuring instruments + Replace worn tools as needed + May set up machines for other employees* **Quality Control and Documentation** + Read and interpret engineering drawings and blueprints + Run parts according to engineering specifications + Inspect first-run and sample workpieces to ensure conformance to specifications + Use measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, plug gauges, and ring gauges + Complete required in-process inspection reports + Accurately record production and inspection data* **Safety and Maintenance** + Perform approved preventive maintenance on machinery and work centers + Identify and support continuous improvement initiatives in production processes + Follow all written and verbal instructions and guidelines + Communicate and work effectively with team members to meet production goals and quotas + Demonstrate a positive and professional attitude + Observe all safety guidelines and report concerns to management. + Maintain a clean, organized work area and equipment## Qualifications**What You’ll Bring:*** High school diploma or G.E.D and one or more years’ related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience* Ability to read, analyze, and interpret, proof, type and handle all common clerical functions* Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure* Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where limited standardization exists* Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral diagram, or schedule form**Technical Skills:*** Experience with Swiss machines/programming preferred* Experience with Mitsubishi, Haas, and Fanuc controllers preferred**Physical Requirements/Working Locations –****Manufacturing/Distribution Environment**This position operates in a manufacturing plant environment. The role routinely involves working around machinery, equipment, and moving mechanical parts. The facility may be subject to varying temperatures, loud noise levels, and airborne particles such as dust or chemical fumes, depending on the area of the plant. This role may require periods of standing, sitting, or walking throughout the workday. Occasional bending, lifting, or carrying items up to 50 pounds may be necessary.Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to sit; use hands to finger, handle, control, or feel; reach with hands and arms and talk. Hearing abilities required for this environment include being able to clearly hear and respond to audible alarms, production equipment, forklifts, and other machinery to maintain a safe work environment.
