Essential Responsibilities:

• Provide direct and delegated patient care, recognizing normal and abnormal health indicators to identify at-risk patients. Deliver care aligned with established standards and guidelines.
• Respond promptly to telephone inquiries, triaging calls appropriately while offering reassurance, clear instructions, and education to patients.
• Facilitate efficient healthcare delivery during patient visits by preparing patients for examinations, obtaining vital signs and medical histories, and documenting findings accurately in electronic medical records.
• Observe and communicate abnormal patient signs to physicians, ensuring thorough documentation and patient understanding of discharge instructions.
• Assist physicians with testing, treatments, minor surgeries, and physical exams, including applying splints and dressings, managing sample medications, and coordinating referrals and patient testing.
• Perform laboratory tests and maintain lab logs as prescribed, while ensuring all patient care areas and equipment are well-stocked, clean, sterile, and organized according to protocols.
• Support patient education efforts by distributing materials and confirming patient comprehension of treatment plans and medication usage.
• Carry out additional duties as assigned to support clinical operations.

Education and Experience Required:

• Graduation from an accredited Medical Assistant or Nursing Program.

Work Shift: Day Shift

Location: Serving patients in a regional healthcare setting within the Midwest United States.
