Physician - Family Practice

Our client in Massachusetts is seeking a Family Practice Physician for a 60-day assignment starting Jun 22, 2026. This role involves 7a-3p shifts with 7:30 rounding, focusing on patient rounding, addiction care for opioid use disorder, and prenatal care consultations. The physician will coordinate care with external facilities and support onsite midlevels. Patient census for direct care is up to 10 daily, alongside administrative duties. Responsibilities and Duties Round on sick patients, typically 20-30 daily, reviewing issues and reasons for medical unit housing, often related to detox. Manage the addiction component for opioid use disorder. Provide consultation for prenatal care cases, collaborating with a separate OBGYN provider as needed. Coordinate patient care with outside hospitals and doctors offices. Provide support to onsite midlevel providers. Engage in significant administrative work, including managing email correspondence and clearing patients for dental extractions. See occasional patients, with a maximum of 10 per day.
