Contract Specialist Duties
As a Contract Specialist you will be responsible for the following duties:
If selected at the GS-09 level, duties will be performed in a developmental capacity.
Performs a full range of contracting duties and responsibilities for assigned acquisitions, which may include acquisition planning, pre-solicitation, negotiation and award, contract termination, contract monitoring, review of complex invoices, contract modification, performance monitoring and feedback, resolution of performance problems and payments and pre and post-award contract review.
Performs market research and analysis to develop new sources.
Performs post-award functions to include contract terminations.
Performs pre-award functions to include acquisition planning, solicitations, and negotiations.
Establishes prime vendor or long-term contracts.
