Job Description As a Security Officer Armed Protection Patrol in Hialeah, FL , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Armed Patrol Officer in a government location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help reduce security-related incidents, and deliver outstanding customer service and communication. Position Type: Full Time Pay Rate: $22.26 / Hour Job Schedule: DayTimeNo Job Schedule specified. What You'll Do: Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and/or members of the public by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government location. Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including taking appropriate action consistent with post orders for an armed patrol post. Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or identify unusual conditions. Monitor access points, observe activity, and report security-related concerns, hazards, and/or policy violations to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership. Prepare clear, accurate documentation regarding incidents, patrol activity, and/or interactions with the public, and assist with directional support and general assistance as needed. Minimum Requirements: 3+ years of combined law enforcement, military, or security-related experience or a college degree is required. Graduate of a law enforcement or military police training program or equivalent is required. 1+ year of armed security-related, law enforcement, or military experience is required. 1+ year of law enforcement experience or 2+ years of security-related supervisor or manager experience or 3+ years of security-related experience is required. An armed guard card or license is required. A college degree is required. A corrections officer license is required. A DD214 with honorable discharge or an associate degree or 60 college credits or a police academy certificate or a corrections academy certificate is required. A law enforcement officer license is required. Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law. Participate in industry-specific security training programs. Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment. A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
