Position: Senior Reporting Developer – Power BI / SSRS / SQL
Location: Charlotte, North Carolina
Duration: 6 months contract (possibility of an extension)

Job Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Senior Reporting Developer with expertise in Power BI, SSRS, and SQL to join our team on a contingent resource assignment. The ideal candidate will consult as an expert to develop and influence initiatives for highly complex business and technical needs. This role involves delivering innovative, long-term solutions that require advanced analytical and problem-solving skills. The position will initially require full-time onsite work, transitioning to a hybrid model once the candidate is working independently.

Responsibilities:

• Develop, maintain, and support reports using Power BI, Report Builder, and SSRS.
• Write, modify, optimize, and troubleshoot complex SQL queries.
• Quickly learn and become proficient in proprietary SQL-based development tools and processes.
• Provide expertise to senior leadership on innovative business solutions.
• Strategically engage with client personnel to address complex challenges and deliver long-term solutions.
• Create and execute test plans, test cases, and test scenarios as needed.

Qualifications:

• 7 years of Business Execution, Implementation, or Strategic Planning experience, or equivalent demonstrated through work, consulting, training, military experience, or education.
• Previous hands-on experience as a Software Developer; business analyst experience alone is not sufficient.
• Advanced SQL expertise, including the ability to read, write, modify, optimize, and troubleshoot complex SQL queries.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality solutions.
• Self-motivated and capable of working independently with minimal supervision.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Experience creating and executing test plans, test cases, and test scenarios (preferred).
• Experience with manual and automated testing methodologies (preferred).
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Knowledge of accounting and financial institutions concepts (preferred).
• Former experience with WF (preferred).

Pay Range: $75.00-80.00/hr on W2

The specific compensation for this position will be determined by several factors, including the scope, complexity, and location of the role, as well as the cost of labor in the market; the skills, education, training, credentials, and experience of the candidate; and other conditions of employment.
