Human Resources Generalist

As a Human Resources Generalist, you'll play a vital role in supporting the employees who make our mission possible. You'll lead the administration of leave of absence programs, workers' compensation, and employee benefits while providing compassionate guidance and ensuring compliance with employment laws. Your work will help employees navigate important life events while strengthening Project HOME's commitment to an exceptional employee experience.

Location: Ruth Williams House, 2415 N. Broad Street, Philadelphia, PA 19132 Schedule: Monday-Friday | 9:00 AM-5:00 PM | Eligible for up to 2 hybrid workdays per week after 90 days performance. Compensation: $71,000-$73,000 annually, based on experience

What You'll Do

• Administer FMLA, ADA, parental, medical, and personal leave programs from intake through return-to-work.
• Manage workers' compensation claims and coordinate with carriers, providers, Payroll, and managers.
• Guide employees and managers through leave, benefits, and compliance requirements.
• Maintain accurate HRIS records, documentation, and reporting.
• Support HR audits, New Hire Orientation, and continuous process improvements.
• Partner with HR Business Partners and leaders to deliver an exceptional employee experience.

What You'll Need

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field, or equivalent experience.
• Five (5) years of progressive HR experience.
• Experience administering leave programs, benefits, or HR operations.
• Knowledge of FMLA, ADA, workers' compensation, and employment regulations.
• Experience with HRIS, Microsoft Office, and reporting tools.

What You May Bring

• Experience in nonprofit, healthcare, or human services.
• Experience managing high-volume leave and workers' compensation caseloads.
• Experience with HR metrics, reporting, compliance, and process improvement.
• Professional HR certification (PHR, SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, or similar).
