Key Responsibilities\n

• Conducting detailed mental health assessments to evaluate the needs of individual patients and crafting personalized therapeutic plans that address their unique situations.

• Providing evidence-based therapeutic interventions such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) and solution-focused therapy to individuals, couples, or families, ensuring a tailored approach to treatment.

• Leading psychoeducational workshops and support groups aimed at reducing stigma around mental health and fostering community support among attendees.

• Collaborating closely with a multidisciplinary team to ensure a comprehensive approach to patient care, coordinating treatments and strategies to enhance outcomes.

• Offering crisis intervention services during mental health emergencies, striving to stabilize patients and connect them with ongoing support as needed.

• Educating patients about their mental health conditions, available treatments, and community resources that can assist in their recovery journey.

• Maintaining precise and confidential documentation of all treatment interactions in compliance with legal and ethical standards, leveraging electronic health record (EHR) systems to enhance efficiency.

• Participating in regular case consultations, team meetings, and continuous learning opportunities to stay updated on best practices in mental health care.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

The primary patient demographic includes individuals struggling with a variety of mental health issues, such as mood disorders, anxiety disorders, trauma-related conditions, and substance abuse problems. Our therapists work with diverse populations, acknowledging cultural differences and unique experiences in each case, which is critical for effective treatment.

Qualifications\n

• A master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
\n
• Current and valid licensure as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in the state of New Jersey.

• A deep understanding of mental health disorders and up-to-date knowledge of evidence-based treatment modalities.
\n
• Demonstrated experience in conducting comprehensive mental health assessments and creating effective treatment plans.
\n
• Experience in providing both individual and group therapy in a variety of contexts, demonstrating adaptability and cultural competence.
\n
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to establish rapport and trust with patients.
\n
• Strong adherence to professional ethics and the ability to maintain healthy boundaries in the therapeutic relationship.

• Proficiency in using EHR systems as well as other relevant software to document patient interactions and streamline processes.
\n
• A collaborative mindset and the ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.

Preferred Experience\n

• Previous experience working in an outpatient psychological practice or community mental health setting is highly desirable.
\n
• Familiarity with various therapeutic modalities beyond CBT, such as mindfulness-based therapies or dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), will be advantageous.

• Experience in leading support groups or psychoeducational sessions is a plus.

Compensation and Benefits\n
