Customer Service Representative Location: Itasca, IL Assignment Type: Direct Hire Pay: $25$27 per hour Work Schedule: 100% onsite, MondayFriday, 8:00 AM5:00 PM Benefits: This position is eligible for medical, dental, vision, and 401(k). Job Description: We are seeking an experienced Customer Service Representative to serve as a key point of contact for customers and internal teams. This individual will manage customer orders from entry through fulfillment, coordinate shipments and pickups, assist with billing, and address customer questions or concerns. The ideal candidate is highly customer-focused, confident handling challenging conversations, and comfortable working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Strong attention to detail and recent SAP experience are essential, as this position requires accurate order management and frequent communication with customers, sales, shipping, and warehouse partners. Key Responsibilities: Enter and process customer orders accurately and efficiently using SAP. Review orders for completeness, pricing, product availability, and shipment readiness. Build and maintain strong relationships with repeat customers Respond to customer questions, concerns, and complaints while working toward practical and timely solutions. De-escalate difficult customer situations professionally and maintain a positive service experience. Partner with sales, shipping, warehouse personnel, and outside logistics providers to coordinate deliveries and customer pickups. Monitor open orders, backorders, late shipments, bookings, and other order-related activity. Prepare and maintain customer service, order, billing, and service-level reports. Complete daily invoicing activities and process applicable debits and credits. Follow up with shipping teams and customers to ensure orders are progressing as expected. Take ownership of customer issues and follow through until the appropriate resolution is reached. Qualifications: 35 years of professional customer service or inside sales experience. Previous experience in a manufacturing, industrial, chemical, distribution, or similarly technical environment. Recent, hands-on SAP experience is required. High school diploma or equivalent required. Strong Microsoft Office and general computer skills. Experience with web-based business systems and order management platforms. Additional Details: This is a 100% onsite position. Standard schedule is MondayFriday, 8:00 AM5:00 PM. Overtime opportunities may be available.
