Job Description Heritage Logistics, LLC is a licensed broker arranging freight transportation and is affiliated with Vulcan Materials Company. Our mission, "Build Your Career. We are seeking a seasoned Logistics Specialist to manage customer orders for aggregate and other products, facilitate product selection, and schedule trucking for delivery using the Trux Dispatch Platform. The role requires close coordination with the Sales Service Center, ensuring timely and accurate order fulfillment, minimizing truck downtime, and resolving delivery issues promptly. The ideal candidate brings experience in dispatching, customer relations, and the construction/transportation sector, strong logistics skills, and the ability to work independently in a fast‑paced, deadline‑oriented environment while delivering excellent customer service. Responsibilities Receive customer orders and assist customers in identifying the products needed for specific end uses. Accurately enter orders into the Trux Dispatch Platform. Collaborate with the Sales Service Center to acquire project information and pricing. Coordinate project scheduling to align truck capacity with project demand. Review daily order entry for completeness and accuracy at each product facility, ensuring on‑time delivery. Minimize truck downtime and address issues proactively. Report any delivery problems immediately to service or sales representatives for swift resolution. Perform additional duties as assigned. Key Requirements High school diploma or equivalent; some college preferred. Experience in dispatching, customer relations, and construction/transportation; administrative or sales experience is required. Strong knowledge of asphalt, concrete, and construction materials, including truck requirements and transportation regulations. Proficiency with office tools such as telephone, calculator, computer, and common electronic devices. Ability to work varying schedules, including nights and weekends, and to sit for long periods. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Strong organizational and problem‑solving abilities; able to work independently and make informed decisions.
