Sterile Processing Technician
This is a 13-week contract position.
3x12 hour shifts, from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM, working Friday, Saturday, and Sunday with holiday rotation.
As a Sterile Processing Technician, you will be responsible for ensuring the proper sterilization and preparation of surgical instruments while adhering to established protocols and safety standards. You will play a crucial role in the infection control process and the readiness of the surgical department.
Decontaminating, assembling, and wrapping sterile surgical instruments and trays.
Maintaining sterilization equipment and logs, ensuring compliance with safety standards.
Floating to sister facilities as needed to meet organizational demands.
Working collaboratively with surgical teams to ensure availability of instruments.
Minimum of 2 years experience in sterile processing with Level 1 Trauma experience required.
National certifications: CBSPD and/or HSPA are required.
Experience with neuro, GU, robotics, ENT, ortho, transplant, and gynecological procedures preferred.
BLS certification is not required.
