Director of Business Development

At L7 Informatics, Inc., our mission is to revolutionize scientific processes and data management to accelerate precision health across life sciences, healthcare, and nutrition value chains. The Role Due to our continued growth, we are hiring a Director of Business Development to join our commercial team. Reporting to the Chief Commercial Officer, you will be responsible for developing and executing strategies to expand the company’s market share, working closely with our account management, sales enablement, and marketing teams to identify new strategic partnerships and expand in existing customer segments. You will also build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including executives and decision-makers both internally and externally. Key Responsibilities Support and participate in L7’s Quality Management System (QMS) by complying with the Quality Policy and SOPs and contributing to the achievement of QMS objectives. Develop and execute strategies to achieve company revenue and expansion targets. Work closely with and influence internal executives, cross‑functional teams, and key stakeholders to facilitate and gain support for long‑term plans based on business and financial goals, milestones, and go‑to‑market strategies. Cultivate and maintain relationships with key stakeholders within existing partnerships and customer base to foster revenue growth. Build a sustainable pipeline by identifying, targeting, and engaging potential partners and customers. Work closely with product development, product strategy, and commercial teams to develop and implement effective go‑to‑market strategies, utilizing expertise in sales, account management, and revenue growth. Evangelize L7’s solutions to strategic customers through viable business strategies and commercialization plans. Utilize CRM tools to maintain pipelines, provide monthly forecasts, track performance, and support internal operational and financial planning processes. Required Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in business administration, marketing, or a related field. 7+ years of experience in business development and/or strategic sales of technology products, preferably to large scale companies in biotech, large pharma, and CDMO. Strategic key account management expertise and ability to build and nurture executive‑level customer relationships & influence. Proven track record of managing accounts and driving revenue growth. Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills. Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills. Business and financial expertise to build long‑term business cases with clear ROI. Ability to travel domestically and internationally. Desired Qualifications MBA or Master’s degree in a related field. Experience working in a growing start‑up environment. Technical expertise in data intelligence, LIMS, MES, biotech, etc. Key Competencies Analytical Skills – ability to collect information and identify patterns/trends in data, including integration and interpretation from multiple sources. Building Trusting Relationships – ability to develop collaborative relationships and maintain confidentiality. Communication – ability to convey information clearly and adapt delivery methods to audience. Decision Making – ability to make quick, accurate decisions and weigh alternatives. Getting Work Done – ability to be organized, resourceful, and planful, managing multiple tasks efficiently. Technical Knowledge – understanding of program management methodology and tools.
