Credit Analyst

Job Overview The Credit Analyst processes applications from new customers as well as existing customers who wish to establish credit terms or adjust their current credit line. The analyst reviews each application for indications of fraud and performs necessary background research. They interact with customers in a timely manner to gather the required information for processing. Upon approval, the analyst updates the customer profile, enters credit limits into the system, and informs the applicant of the result. The analyst also manages the department phone queue, mailbox, and requests from Sales, A/R, etc., and monitors customers’ accounts on an annual basis, producing reports as needed. Processing business credit applications for credit terms accounts. Investigating and assessing credit worthiness of applicants. Setting up open accounts with a credit limit and entering pertinent verified information on the account profile. Assisting and communicating with Sales, Marketing, A/R, financial institutions and businesses on ongoing daily issues and requests. Performing periodic reviews through scoring or requesting updated credit information on existing active accounts with high activity/volume. Specific Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Effective problem solving & analytical skills. Excellent written and oral communication skills. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
