Community Outreach Coordinator Job Description Position Summary: The Disability Allies (DA) is dedicated to providing social opportunities to connect young adults and children with and without disabilities. The Community Outreach Coordinator is a part‑time position and reports to the Director. Responsibilities include DA outreach and recruitment. Responsibilities Create and implement the outreach plan. Develop and strengthen relationships between the Disability Allies and the community. Develop partnerships with universities, social groups and community organizations, especially those that provide social opportunities to young adults with disabilities. Recruit and place Disability Allies volunteers within committees. Qualifications & Competencies Excellent public speaking and presentation skills. Ability to meet deadlines and adjust to changing priorities. Proficiency in Microsoft Office. Effective communication skills, both verbal and written. Ability to connect with others and develop relationships. Commitment to the mission of serving young adults with disabilities. Ability to perform several tasks concurrently. Strong time management and organizational skills. Ability to maintain detailed records and handle confidential information. About the Disability Allies The purpose of the Disability Allies is to plan team building activities that connect young adults and children with and without disabilities. At our events, each participant is paired with a mentor who helps them with social skills and ensures everyone interacts positively. The events are open to any young adult who has a disability, knows someone with a disability, or supports people with disabilities.
