Work Environment\n

The position is entirely remote, allowing you to conduct sessions and engage with patients from the comfort of your home or chosen workspace. This flexibility will enable you to adapt to the demands of our multicultural client base effectively while maintaining a healthy work-life balance. Our work schedule operates from Monday to Friday, between 9:00 AM and 6:00 PM, with potential flexibility in scheduling to accommodate various patient needs.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments focusing on cultural sensitivity to create personalized treatment plans for each patient.

• Implement evidence-based therapeutic interventions such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) tailored to individual patient backgrounds and needs.

• Facilitate individual, family, and group therapy sessions aimed at addressing mental health issues while fostering resilience and emotional well-being.

• Collaborate closely with psychiatrists, psychologists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure a cohesive treatment plan is maintained throughout the patient's journey.

• Provide crisis intervention and immediate support when patients encounter mental health emergencies, ensuring a safe space for them.

• Educate patients and their families about mental health conditions, effective treatment options, and available community resources to empower their recovery journey.

• Maintain precise and confidential documentation in strict adherence to legal and ethical standards for healthcare professionals.

• Participate actively in case conferences and cultural competency training sessions, contributing to team knowledge and inter-professional collaboration.

• Regularly update your knowledge on current research, best practices, and cultural considerations relevant to mental health therapy.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your work will primarily involve providing mental health services to a highly diverse patient population. This includes individuals from various ethnicities, cultural groups, socioeconomic backgrounds, and the LGBTQ+ community. By focusing on culturally informed therapy, you will play a crucial role in breaking barriers and ensuring equitable access to mental health care.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• A current and valid license as an LCSW-C, LCPC, or similar credential in the state of Maryland.

• Strong understanding and demonstrated experience in applying culturally competent approaches to mental health therapy.

Compensation and Benefits\n
