Raise a glass to all the best in life as you soak in magnificent views of Napa Valley from this Forbes Travel Guide Five-Star resort.About the roleThe primary responsibility of this role is to maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards by thoroughly polishing and cleaning all surfaces and utensils within the restaurant. Assist food servers with the serving of food, set-up and clearing of china, glass, and silver from service. Prepare food and beverages as needed and transport items from bars and kitchen counters to guests as needed.What you will doPolish all glassware, silverware, and utensils to ensure they are spotless and free of smudges, stains, or watermarks.Stocking and restocking of china, silver and glassware for service and bar.Set up tables, stations and counter as required for the operations.Maintain cleanliness and organization in dining areas, including removing debris, wiping down surfaces, and arranging furniture as needed. Fold napkins/linens as necessary.Greet guests in a professional manner, serve beverage and food items while explaining the contents, and anticipate and service the guest’s needs before requests are necessary.Assistance with guest service including retrieving food from the kitchen and safely transporting it to guest, as well as removal of items from the guest’s table.Breakdown, clean and set-up of tables, buffets, and food stations.Adhere to all safety and sanitation guidelines to ensure a clean and safe working environment for staff and guests.Communicate effectively with management and other team members to address any cleaning or maintenance issues promptly.Perform additional duties as assigned by management to support the overall operations of the restaurant.What you bringExperience:Minimum one-year food and beverage service or equivalent.Skills and Abilities:Ability to balance and carry traysAbility to multi-task in a high volume and demanding environment.Basic food and beverage service knowledge and skillsThis position is not eligible for work sponsorship/visa.
