Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough mental health evaluations and interviews to assess clients’ emotional, behavioral, and psychological health.

• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on assessed needs and clinical best practices, adjusting them as necessary throughout the therapeutic process.

• Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions, creating safe spaces for clients to explore their thoughts and feelings.
\n
• Monitor client progress, documenting outcomes and providing updates to relevant healthcare providers, including psychiatrists and primary care physicians.
\n
• Implement strategies to identify and mitigate behaviors that hinder recovery, providing clients and their families with tools to navigate challenges effectively.

• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, which may include social workers, nursing staff, and psychiatrists, to ensure holistic care for clients.

• Manage client referrals to additional resources as needed, ensuring a comprehensive support network for clients.

• Conduct follow-ups with clients to assess ongoing needs and adjust treatment plans accordingly.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

The ideal candidate will work with a diverse range of clients, including individuals facing various mental health challenges such as anxiety, depression, trauma, and addiction. Our client population includes children, adolescents, adults, and families requiring tailored approaches to their unique situations.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution is required.
\n
• Current and valid licensure as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC), or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in the state of Illinois.
\n
• A passing score on the National Counselor Examination (NCE) and/or the National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination (NCMHCE).
\n
• Proficiency with electronic health record systems, particularly AVATAR, to efficiently manage client data and progress.
\n
• Demonstrated understanding of mental health conditions and treatment methodologies, including knowledge of the impact of medications prescribed by healthcare providers.

• Exceptional written and verbal communications skills, with an ability to build rapport and trust with clients and team members alike.
\n
• Excellent interpersonal skills and a genuine compassionate nature, essential for providing effective mental health support.

Preferred Experience\n

• Previous experience as a mental health counselor in a clinical setting or community health organization.
\n
• Familiarity with best practices outlined by the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA).

• Experience with clients facing complex physical and emotional health conditions, including addiction disorders.

Compensation and Benefits\n
