Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough initial assessments and documentation of mental health evaluations from the first consultation through the completion of treatment.

• Evaluate clients' mental, emotional, and behavioral health to inform treatment planning.

• Develop tailored intervention and recovery strategies for individuals, couples, families, and groups in alignment with best practices.

• Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions, adapting approaches to meet the diverse needs of clients.

• Continuously monitor client progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary to reflect therapeutic goals.

• Collaborate with other mental health specialists, primary care physicians, and support staff to ensure cohesive client care.

• Manage follow-up communication with psychiatrists and attending physicians regarding clients who may require hospitalization.

• Identify risk behaviors that may impede recovery and proactively implement preventative measures.

• Support families and primary caregivers in managing the mental health challenges faced by their loved ones, providing guidance and educational resources.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

You will be working with a diverse patient population at various stages of their mental health journey. Clients may present with issues related to anxiety, depression, trauma, addiction, and relationship challenges. Your role will be pivotal in fostering resilience and promoting positive mental health outcomes through evidence-based interventions.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• A valid license in the state of Illinois as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMFT, LCPC, or LCSW).

• Successful completion of the National Counselor Examination (NCE) or the National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination (NCMHCE).

• Strong verbal and written communication skills, with a proven ability to create supportive therapeutic relationships.

Preferred Experience\n

• A minimum of two years of clinical experience as a mental health counselor.

Compensation and Benefits\n
