Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough preliminary interviews to gain insight into clients' mental, emotional, and behavioral health, documenting all findings accurately.

• Evaluate client histories comprehensively and develop personalized intervention and recovery plans for individuals, couples, families, and group settings.
\n
• Facilitate engaging individual and group therapy sessions that aim to empower clients and promote their mental well-being.

• Monitor client progress and adjust treatment plans as needed based on ongoing assessments and feedback.

• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, sharing insights and strategies to develop holistic intervention plans.

• Actively follow up with psychiatrists and other medical professionals regarding client status, especially for those admitted to hospitals.

• Identify, address, and mitigate behaviors that may hinder clients’ recovery trajectories.
\n
• Support families and caregivers by helping them understand mental health challenges and providing guidance on managing individual cases.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Our clients come from diverse backgrounds and present a range of mental health concerns, including anxiety, depression, trauma-related disorders, and substance use disorders. You will work with individuals of all ages, providing tailored interventions that meet the unique cultural and personal needs of each client.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current licensure as an LMFT, LMHC, LCSW, or LCSW-R in the state of New York.
\n
• A proven history of success in the mental health counseling field with a solid foundation in clinical practices.

• Proficiency in using electronic health record systems, particularly AVATAR or similar platforms, to document client interactions efficiently.

• Strong knowledge of co-occurring physical and emotional health conditions and the impact of addiction disorders on mental health.
\n
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex concepts in an accessible manner.

Preferred Experience\n

• Experience in outpatient counseling settings, particularly with a focus on therapy modalities informed by the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA) best practices.

• A background in working collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams reflecting best practices in mental health treatment.

• Comprehensive understanding of the effects and implications of psychiatric medications prescribed by medical professionals.

Compensation and Benefits\n

The position offers a competitive salary range of $80,000 to $100,000 annually, commensurate with experience, and includes a sign-on bonus.
