The role is remote, offering flexibility while you provide essential therapeutic services to patients in our outpatient setting located in Leawood, Kansas.

Work Environment\n

This position offers a remote work arrangement, combining flexibility with a structured work schedule of Monday through Friday from 9:00 AM to 4:30 PM. Our outpatient office is equipped with the latest telehealth technology to facilitate effective therapy sessions and enhance therapeutic engagement with clients. Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough and comprehensive assessments to evaluate each client's symptoms related to eating disorders and any co-occurring mental health conditions.

• Develop individualized treatment plans tailored to the specific needs and goals identified during assessments, collaborating closely with clients to ensure alignment.
\n
• Implement evidence-based therapeutic interventions, such as Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), effectively in therapy sessions.
\n
• Facilitate therapeutic discussions that challenge and address clients' distorted beliefs regarding body image, food, anxiety, and self-worth.
\n
• Equip clients with healthy coping mechanisms and emotional regulation skills, alongside strategies for overcoming disordered eating behaviors.
\n
• Work closely with a multidisciplinary treatment team to coordinate care, ensuring that the holistic needs of each client are met without interruption.
\n
• Provide psychoeducation to clients and their families, enhancing their understanding of eating disorders to create a supportive and informed recovery environment.
\n
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation for each client’s progress and treatment plans in accordance with ethical and legal standards.

• Participate actively in team meetings, case conferences, and training sessions to continuously improve clinical skills and knowledge in eating disorder treatments.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your work will primarily focus on individuals facing challenges related to eating disorders. This client population often includes individuals struggling with self-esteem issues, emotional dysregulation, and negative body image. Your role is critical in helping clients navigate their recovery journey, enabling them to cultivate healthier relationships with food and their bodies, and to foster a sense of self-worth and confidence.

Qualifications\n

• A relevant Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid mental health licensure as an LCSW, LCPC, or LMFT within the state of Kansas.
\n
• Demonstrated expertise in evidence-based therapeutic modalities for treating eating disorders, including Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT).

• A deep understanding of the complex nature of eating disorders and associated co-occurring conditions is essential.
\n
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills that facilitate rapport-building with clients and collaboration with team members.

Preferred Experience\n

A minimum of two years of experience working in a mental health setting is required. Experience with eating disorders or related specialties will be considered an advantage, providing valuable insights and approaches that can enrich our clients' therapeutic experiences.
