Union Counseling Center is seeking a full-time Licensed Mental Health Therapist who is passionate about providing culturally sensitive and effective therapeutic care. Work Environment\n

This position is entirely remote, allowing you to conduct counseling sessions from the comfort of your home. Our telehealth facility utilizes state-of-the-art technology to ensure effective communication and engagement with clients. The selected candidate will have the flexibility to schedule sessions that accommodate the needs of our patients while adhering to the core working hours of Monday to Friday from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough and culturally sensitive mental health assessments to understand patients' unique experiences and formulate tailored treatment plans.

• Implement evidence-based therapeutic interventions, customizing approaches to align with patients' individual needs and backgrounds.

• Facilitate individual, family, and group therapy sessions to address a variety of mental health concerns, enhancing patients' resilience and coping strategies.

• Collaborate closely with psychiatrists, psychologists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive, coordinated care for all patients.

• Provide immediate crisis intervention support during mental health emergencies, demonstrating strong decision-making and intervention skills.

• Educate patients and families about mental health conditions, therapeutic options, and available community resources, fostering informed decision-making.

• Maintain accurate and confidential clinical documentation in accordance with ethical guidelines, legal standards, and organizational policies.

• Participate actively in case conferences and team meetings to discuss treatment progress and best practices in culturally competent care.

• Engage in ongoing education and training sessions focused on improving cultural competency in therapy and staying abreast of best practices in mental health treatment.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• A current and valid state license as an LCMFT, LMFT, LCPC, or LCSW-C.

• A strong understanding of mental health disorders along with evidence-based treatment methodologies and cultural competency in therapeutic practices.

• Demonstrated experience in delivering both individual and group therapy while implementing culturally responsive approaches.

• Ability to remain calm and maintain professionalism during crisis situations, demonstrating strong crisis intervention skills.
\n
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with a proven ability to build rapport with diverse patients.
\n
• Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems and proficiency in utilizing various computer applications.
\n
• Commitment to ethical practice, maintaining confidentiality, and adhering to professional guidelines.
\n
• Ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team.

Preferred Experience\n

• Previous experience in a multicultural mental health agency or similar setting, demonstrating an ability to work with diverse populations.

• Experience in utilizing teletherapy platforms for counseling sessions.
\n
• Knowledge of local community resources and services that can support patients' mental and emotional health.

Compensation and Benefits\n

The annual salary for this position ranges from USD 70,000 to 100,000, reflecting your experience and qualifications.
