Work Environment\n

This position offers the flexibility of a remote telehealth setting, allowing therapists to connect with clients from the comfort of their own spaces. The work schedule is structured around regular business hours from Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 4:30 PM, promoting a healthy work-life balance. Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough assessments of new clients, evaluating symptoms and any co-occurring mental health conditions, which could include anxiety or depression, to determine their specific treatment needs.

• Develop individualized treatment plans that address assessment findings and client goals, ensuring that strategies are realistic and achievable.

• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic techniques, such as Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), in therapy sessions to promote effective coping strategies and psychological resilience.

• Lead therapy sessions that provide clients with the tools to challenge and reframe distorted beliefs about body image, food, and self-worth.

• Foster the development of healthy coping mechanisms and emotional regulation skills through guided practice and support.
\n
• Collaborate closely with our multidisciplinary treatment team to ensure consistency and continuity in care, addressing not only the mental health needs of clients but also their overall wellbeing.

• Deliver psychoeducation to clients and their families to enhance their understanding of eating disorders, supporting a more informed and collaborative recovery environment.

• Maintain meticulous documentation of client interactions, treatment progress, and therapeutic interventions, adhering to legal and ethical guidelines.

• Engage in ongoing professional development through participation in team meetings and case conferences, refining your therapeutic skills in the context of eating disorder treatment.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

The clients you will support are primarily individuals grappling with eating disorders. Your expertise will be crucial in guiding them through their recovery journeys, providing them with the skills necessary to navigate challenges related to food, body image, and self-identity. Each client may present with unique backgrounds and experiences, necessitating a tailored approach that considers their individual circumstances.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's or Doctoral Degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as an LCSW, LCPC, or LMFT in the state of Kansas.
\n
• A minimum of two years of relevant experience in mental health counseling with a focus on eating disorders.
\n
• Proficient knowledge of evidence-based therapeutic modalities, particularly CBT, DBT, and ACT.

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively build rapport and trust with clients.
\n
