Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough trauma-informed mental health assessments to evaluate patients' backgrounds and identify appropriate therapeutic interventions.

• Design and implement individualized treatment plans that focus on trauma recovery, incorporating techniques that promote resilience and personal growth.

• Provide evidence-based therapies, including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), tailored to the specific needs of each patient.

• Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions, creating a safe space for patients to process their experiences and develop coping strategies.

• Work in close collaboration with psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals to ensure a comprehensive and coordinated care experience for patients.

• Deliver crisis intervention support during trauma-related emergencies, using solid emotional and psychological strategies to assist patients in crisis.

• Educate patients and their families on trauma responses, available resources, and coping mechanisms to enhance their understanding and foster recovery.

• Maintain precise and confidential documentation that aligns with legal and ethical standards, ensuring thorough tracking and progress notes.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

The focus of this role revolves around serving a diverse patient population comprised of individuals affected by trauma. The therapist will work with clients coping with PTSD, complex trauma, and dissociative disorders, requiring a sensitive and individualized approach to care. Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from a regionally accredited institution.

• A current and valid licensure as an LCMFT, LCPC, LCP, LCSW, or LSCSW in the state of Kansas.

• Two years of post-licensure experience working with trauma-informed care approaches.

• Comprehensive knowledge of trauma-related disorders and treatment modalities, particularly those focused on building resilience.

• Proficiency in using EHR systems and technology that enhances patient engagement and record-keeping.

• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, able to establish rapport with clients swiftly.

Compensation and Benefits\n
