New Path Counseling Services is seeking a dedicated and caring Licensed Mental Health Therapist (LMFT, LCPC, LCSW) to provide remote therapeutic support to individuals impacted by trauma. This full-time position focuses on delivering high-quality, trauma-informed care to our clients through innovative telehealth services. You will play a vital role in supporting individuals on their path to recovery while utilizing evidence-based interventions and contributing to their overall healing journey.

Work Environment\n

This position is primarily remote, utilizing a telehealth platform that allows you to engage with clients in a comfortable setting. The flexibility of telehealth enables you to connect with a diverse client base throughout Rockford, Illinois, while maintaining work-life balance. Although the core work schedule is Monday to Friday from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, some flexibility is anticipated to accommodate the varying needs of our patients.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive, trauma-informed assessments to evaluate clients’ trauma histories and identify suitable treatment options.

• Craft and implement personalized treatment plans focused on recovery and resilience skills. Regularly assess progress and adjust plans as necessary.
\n
• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic modalities, including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT).

• Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions designed to help clients process trauma, develop coping strategies, and promote emotional healing.
\n
• Collaborate closely with psychiatrists and other professionals within our multidisciplinary team to provide integrated care and enhance therapeutic outcomes.
\n
• Render crisis intervention and support for clients experiencing trauma-related emergencies.
\n
• Provide psychoeducation to clients and their families, focusing on understanding trauma responses and identifying effective coping mechanisms.

• Maintain meticulous and confidential clinical documentation, adhering to all legal and ethical standards.
\n
• Engage in continuous professional development and contribute ideas during team consultations and meetings to enhance trauma-informed care practices.

• Stay informed on the latest research and best practices related to trauma therapy to enrich your clinical skills.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

This role is centered around individuals who have experienced various forms of trauma. You will be working with clients suffering from PTSD, complex trauma, and dissociative disorders. Your compassionate approach will be instrumental in offering the empathy and understanding needed for effective treatment. The remote nature of the role also allows us to reach clients who may face barriers to accessing traditional in-person therapy.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• A current and valid license as an LMFT, LCPC, or LCSW in Illinois.
\n
• Strong understanding of trauma-informed care principles and related therapeutic techniques.
\n
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a strong commitment to compassionate care.

• Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems, as well as adeptness in remote communication tools.

Preferred Experience\n

• A minimum of two years of post-licensure experience providing therapy, preferably with a focus on trauma.

• Demonstrated experience in delivering trauma-based therapeutic interventions.
\n
• Ability to stay composed and effective under pressure and in crisis situations.

Compensation and Benefits\n
