Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct detailed trauma-informed mental health assessments to evaluate patients’ trauma histories, psychological well-being, and establish appropriate treatment strategies.

• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans that prioritize trauma recovery, resilience, and emotional well-being.

• Utilize evidence-based interventions such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) to facilitate patient healing.

• Facilitate engaging individual and group therapy sessions to assist patients in processing trauma and developing coping strategies.

• Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams, including psychiatrists and social workers, to provide integrated care and ensure comprehensive treatment for patients.

• Offer crisis intervention and immediate support during trauma-related emergencies, demonstrating a calm presence in high-stress situations.

• Provide education to patients and their families about trauma responses, enhancing their understanding and coping mechanisms.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your primary focus will be on individuals who have experienced various forms of trauma, ranging from interpersonal violence and childhood abuse to combat-related experiences. This patient population often deals with PTSD, complex trauma, and various dissociative disorders. Your role will be crucial in providing these individuals with the tools and support necessary to navigate their healing journey and lead fulfilling lives.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current licensure as an LMFT, LPC, or LCSW in the state of Texas.

Compensation and Benefits\n
