Key Responsibilities\n

As a Licensed Mental Health Therapist at Levan Counseling, your core responsibilities will include:

• Conducting thorough, trauma-informed mental health assessments to evaluate each client's unique trauma history and determining appropriate treatment strategies.

• Developing individualized treatment plans that focus on trauma recovery, resilience-building, and the psychological well-being of each patient.

• Implementing evidence-based therapeutic interventions, including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), tailored to the needs of your clients.

• Delivering both individual and group therapy sessions that allow clients to process their trauma, learn effective coping strategies, and foster healing.

• Collaborating with psychiatrists and other therapists to ensure integrated and holistic care for clients.
\n
• Providing crisis intervention and immediate support during trauma-related emergencies to mitigate distress.
\n
• Educating clients and their families on trauma responses, coping mechanisms, and resources available for support.

• Maintaining accurate and compliant documentation regarding patient care in accordance with legal and ethical standards.

• Participating in case consultations, team meetings, and continuing education events that emphasize trauma-informed care practices.

• Staying abreast of the latest research and best practices in trauma therapy to continually enhance your therapeutic skills and knowledge.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your work will primarily focus on individuals affected by trauma who are seeking support and guidance in their recovery journeys. Our clients may present with various issues related to PTSD, complex trauma, and dissociative disorders. You will provide empathetic, trauma-informed care that acknowledges and validates their experiences, working to restore hope and resilience in their lives.

Qualifications\n

To succeed in this role, candidates must possess the following qualifications:

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) in the state of Texas.

• At least two years of post-licensure experience is preferred, with a strong background in trauma-informed treatment modalities.

Compensation and Benefits\n
