While you will work independently, you will also participate in team meetings and case consultations to ensure integrated patient care.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough trauma-informed mental health assessments to understand patients’ trauma histories and devise suitable treatment modalities.

• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans that focus on trauma recovery, resilience-building, and personal growth.

• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic interventions, including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), to address specific patient needs.

• Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions designed to help patients process trauma, enhance coping strategies, and foster emotional healing.

• Coordinate and collaborate with psychiatrists and other mental health professionals to ensure patients receive comprehensive care.

• Provide crisis intervention support during trauma-related emergencies, ensuring patient safety and emotional stability.
\n
• Educate patients and their families on trauma responses, coping mechanisms, and available community resources to empower their recovery efforts.

• Maintain accurate and confidential documentation in adherence to legal and ethical standards, utilizing electronic health record (EHR) systems efficiently.

• Actively participate in ongoing case consultations, team meetings, and professional development activities aimed at enhancing trauma-informed care practices.

• Stay updated with the latest research and best practices in trauma therapy to continuously improve service delivery.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

You will work primarily with individuals affected by various forms of trauma, including those experiencing PTSD, complex trauma, and dissociative disorders. The diverse backgrounds of our patients require a therapist who can tailor their approach to meet unique needs and foster a supportive environment for healing and recovery.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Must hold a current and valid licensure as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), or Licensed Clinical Social Worker - R (LCSW-R) in New York State.

• Minimum of 2 years of post-licensure experience in a relevant mental health setting.

Compensation and Benefits\n

The position offers a competitive salary range between $90,000 and $110,000 per year, commensurate with experience and qualifications. Additional benefits include:
