Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive, trauma-informed mental health assessments to evaluate patients' trauma history and determine suitable treatment methodologies.

• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans tailored to each client's unique needs, focusing on trauma recovery and fostering resilience.

• Deliver evidence-based therapeutic interventions, such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), to effectively address trauma symptoms.

• Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions aimed at helping patients process their trauma, develop coping strategies, and promote emotional healing.

• Collaborate with psychiatrists and multidisciplinary professionals to create an integrated care approach, ensuring comprehensive treatment for our patients.

• Provide immediate crisis intervention support during trauma-related emergencies, offering stability and reassurance to patients in distress.

• Educate patients and their families about trauma responses, effective coping mechanisms, and available resources, empowering them in their recovery journey.

• Maintain accurate, confidential documentation in compliance with all legal and ethical standards, using our electronic health record (EHR) systems.

• Engage in case consultations, team meetings, and professional development sessions centered on trauma-informed care practices.

• Keep abreast of the latest research and best practices in trauma therapy to continuously enhance service delivery.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

You will primarily work with individuals who have experienced trauma, ranging from children to adults, including patients with complex trauma histories. Each case presents unique challenges, requiring a tailored approach that emphasizes understanding, empathy, and respect for the individual’s journey toward healing.

Qualifications\n

• An accredited Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology.

• Current and valid licensure as an LMFT, LMHC, LCSW, or LCSW-R in the state of New York.
\n
• Strong understanding of trauma-related disorders and familiarity with trauma-informed treatment modalities.
\n
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, characterized by a compassionate and non-judgmental approach.

• Proficiency with electronic health record systems and relevant computer applications that facilitate assessment and documentation.

• A collaborative spirit and the ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.

Preferred Experience\n

• At least 2 years of post-licensure experience, particularly in providing trauma-focused therapies and interventions.

Compensation and Benefits\n
