Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct trauma-informed mental health assessments to thoroughly evaluate patients' trauma history and determine tailored treatment plans.

• Provide evidence-based therapeutic interventions including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT).

• Facilitate engaging individual and group therapy sessions that empower patients to process their trauma and develop effective coping mechanisms.

• Work collaboratively with psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care and continuity in treatment.

• Respond to trauma-related emergencies with appropriate crisis intervention and support.

• Educate patients and their families regarding trauma responses and healing strategies to enhance understanding and awareness.

• Maintain precise and confidential documentation in adherence with legal and ethical guidelines.

• Participate in case consultations, team meetings, and ongoing professional development initiatives focusing on trauma-informed practices.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

The ideal candidate will work closely with a diverse population of clients, including those affected by various forms of trauma, PTSD, and related mental health conditions. Qualifications\n

• Master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid license as an LMFT, LMHC, LCSW, or LCSW-R in the state of New York.

• Minimum of 2 years of relevant post-licensure experience is preferred, showcasing expertise in trauma-informed care.

Compensation and Benefits\n
