Key Responsibilities\n

• Perform comprehensive, trauma-informed assessments to evaluate patients' mental health histories and trauma backgrounds, identifying appropriate therapeutic approaches for their unique situations.

• Craft and implement individualized treatment plans focused on trauma recovery, resilience-building, and overall mental wellness.

• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic modalities, including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), to facilitate and enhance the therapeutic process.

• Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions, empowering clients to process their trauma and learn effective coping techniques.

• Engage in collaborative care with psychiatrists and allied health professionals to ensure a holistic approach to patient treatment.

• Provide crisis intervention services and support during trauma-related emergencies, ensuring immediate and effective response to patients in distress.

• Educate patients and their families about trauma effects, coping strategies, and the resources available for support and recovery.

• Maintain meticulous and confidential documentation of patient interactions in adherence to legal and ethical standards for mental health practice.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

The therapist will focus on individuals suffering from trauma-related conditions, including but not limited to PTSD, complex trauma, and dissociative disorders. Qualifications\n

• A master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as an LMFT, LMHC, LCSW, or LCSW-R in the state of New York.

• A strong understanding of trauma-related disorders and trauma-informed treatment modalities.

Preferred Experience\n

Compensation and Benefits\n
