Work Environment\n

This role predominantly functions in a remote setting, allowing for flexibility while maintaining a structured schedule from Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM. A commitment to patient-centered care may necessitate occasional adjustments to scheduling based on the needs of our clients. The outpatient nature of our practice combines the convenience of virtual therapy with the ability to meet patients in person when necessary, creating a comprehensive support system for their recovery.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough trauma-informed assessments that take into account each patient’s unique trauma history, ensuring an understanding of their specific needs and goals.

• Create and implement individualized treatment plans that incorporate evidence-based interventions, tailoring therapeutic strategies to facilitate trauma recovery.

• Utilize specialized therapeutic approaches such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) to support coping and resilience.

• Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions that provide a safe space for patients to process their traumatic experiences and learn effective coping strategies.

• Collaborate with our multidisciplinary team, including psychiatrists and other mental health professionals, to ensure a holistic and integrated approach to each patient’s care.

• Provide critical crisis intervention and support in trauma-related emergencies, demonstrating a calm and collected approach to immediate concerns.

• Educate patients and their families about the effects of trauma, coping mechanisms, and available community resources to enhance their support network.

• Maintain meticulous and confidential clinical documentation in line with ethical and legal standards, ensuring a high level of accountability and professionalism.

• Engage in ongoing case consultations, participate in team meetings, and commit to continuous professional development focused on trauma-informed care practices.

• Stay informed about the latest research and advancements in trauma therapy to ensure that our practice remains at the forefront of effective treatment methodologies.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Our practice specifically serves individuals affected by complex trauma, post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), and dissociative disorders, among others. We focus primarily on empowering our clients to navigate their recovery journey. Your role will contribute to creating a nurturing environment where patients are encouraged to express their feelings, understand their experiences, and work toward rebuilding their lives.

Qualifications\n

• Master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) in the state of New York.

• A minimum of two years of post-licensure experience is preferred.
\n
• Deep knowledge of trauma-related disorders and familiarity with trauma-informed treatment modalities.
\n
• Demonstrated experience in delivering trauma-focused interventions and therapies.
\n
• Exceptional interpersonal skills, underscored by a compassionate, empathetic, and non-judgmental approach.

• Ability to maintain composure and effectiveness in high-stress situations, offering appropriate support to clients.
\n
• Proficiency in utilizing electronic health record (EHR) systems and general computer applications.
\n
• Strong collaborative skills, essential for working cohesively within a multidisciplinary team.

Preferred Experience\n

• Two or more years of experience in a clinical setting focused on trauma therapy and mental health counseling.

Compensation and Benefits\n
