Work Environment\n

This role is designed to be fully remote, allowing our therapists to work from home while still being an integral part of our multidisciplinary team. Our therapists benefit from flexible work hours, primarily Monday through Friday from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with some required flexibility to accommodate patients’ varying needs. Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough, trauma-informed mental health assessments to gain insight into patients’ trauma histories and determine tailored treatment options.

• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans focusing on trauma recovery, resilience-building, and coping strategies.

• Utilize evidence-based therapies such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) to foster healing in patients.

• Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions, assisting patients in processing their experiences and developing essential skills for recovery.

• Engage in collaborative care with psychiatrists, social workers, and other healthcare professionals to ensure a holistic approach to patients’ needs.

• Provide immediate crisis intervention and support during emergencies involving trauma exacerbation.
\n
• Educate patients and their families on trauma responses and effective coping techniques, empowering them to understand and manage their experiences.

• Maintain comprehensive and confidential documentation compliant with all legal and ethical guidelines regarding patient information.

• Participate actively in team consultations, development workshops, and training sessions centered around trauma-informed care.

• Stay abreast of the latest research and methods in trauma therapy to continually enhance treatment effectiveness.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

This position focuses on working with diverse populations affected by various psychological traumas, primarily adults grappling with PTSD, complex trauma, and dissociative disorders. The therapist will interface with clients from different backgrounds, ensuring equitable access to mental health services and tailored interventions that respect their unique life experiences.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current licensure as an LCMFT, LCPC, LCP, LCSW, or LSCSW in the State of Kansas.

• A minimum of two years of post-licensure experience in mental health counseling, with a focus on trauma-informed care preferred.

• In-depth knowledge of trauma-related disorders and evidence-based treatment modalities.

• Strong interpersonal and communication abilities that reflect a compassionate and non-judgmental approach.

• Experience with electronic health record (EHR) systems is essential for maintaining accurate patient documentation.

Compensation and Benefits\n

We offer a competitive annual salary ranging from USD 90,000 to 110,000, commensurate with experience.
