Better Living Counseling Center is looking for a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Mental Health Therapist (LMFT, LPC, LCSW) to join our remote team. Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough, trauma-informed mental health assessments to evaluate patients’ trauma histories and determine suitable treatment plans tailored to their individual needs.

• Develop and implement personalized treatment strategies aimed at trauma recovery, integrating techniques that promote resilience and coping skills.

• Utilize proven therapeutic modalities, including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), in both individual and group therapy sessions.

• Facilitate therapeutic sessions designed to help clients process their trauma, learn effective coping strategies, and embark on a journey of healing.

• Work in close collaboration with psychiatrists, psychologists, and other mental health professionals to provide integrated care for clients, ensuring a multidisciplinary approach that supports comprehensive treatment.

• Be available for crisis intervention and provide support during emergencies related to trauma, ensuring that clients receive timely and appropriate care.
\n
• Educate clients and their families about trauma responses, coping mechanisms, and available resources to empower them on their healing journeys.
\n
• Maintain precise and confidential records in accordance with legal and ethical standards, utilizing electronic health record (EHR) systems efficiently.

• Engage in case consultations and team meetings, contributing insights that enhance our collective understanding of trauma-informed care best practices.

• Continuously update your knowledge of the latest research and advancements in trauma therapy to provide clients with the most effective evidence-based care.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your primary focus will be on individuals suffering from trauma-related issues. This includes but is not limited to survivors of domestic violence, abuse, military veterans coping with PTSD, and other vulnerable populations. You will play a pivotal role in promoting healing in a community that is often stigmatized and underserved, making your contributions vital to their recovery process.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as an LMFT, LPC, or LCSW in the state of Texas.
\n
• Strong foundation in trauma-informed care principles, with knowledge of trauma-related disorders and effective therapeutic interventions.

• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills—emphasizing a compassionate, empathetic, and non-judgmental attitude towards clients.

• Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) technologies and general computer applications relevant to practice management.
\n
• Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team, fostering a culture of support and shared knowledge.

Preferred Experience\n

• A minimum of 2 years of post-licensure experience in mental health counseling, particularly in trauma-focused therapy settings.

Compensation and Benefits\n
