Work Environment\n

This position offers the flexibility of a remote work setting, utilizing telehealth technologies to connect with clients. You will work a standard schedule from Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with some flexibility to accommodate client needs. Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive trauma-informed mental health assessments to evaluate patients’ trauma history and develop customized treatment plans.

• Implement evidence-based therapeutic interventions like Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT).

• Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions that help clients explore their trauma, develop coping strategies, and promote personal healing.

• Work collaboratively with psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals to coordinate integrated care for patients.

• Provide crisis intervention to support patients during trauma-related emergencies.
\n
• Educate patients and their families about trauma responses and coping mechanisms, enhancing their understanding and connection to available resources.

• Maintain accurate and confidential documentation in accordance with legal requirements and ethical standards.

• Engage in case consultations and participate in team meetings focused on improving trauma-informed care practices.

• Continuously update your knowledge base regarding current research and best practices in trauma therapy.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

The therapist will primarily work with individuals affected by trauma-related disorders. This includes individuals experiencing PTSD, complex trauma, and dissociative disorders. Our focus is on providing holistic care that addresses not only mental health needs but also empowers clients to build resilience against the impact of their experiences.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as a LMFT, LMHC, LCSW, or LCSW-R in New York State.
\n
• A minimum of 2 years of post-licensure experience is preferred.

• Strong understanding of trauma-related disorders and familiarity with trauma-informed treatment modalities.

• Demonstrated experience in delivering trauma-focused therapies and interventions.
\n
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, characterized by a compassionate and non-judgmental demeanor.

• Adept at managing high-stress situations with calmness and professionalism.
\n
• Comfortable using electronic health record (EHR) systems and skilled in relevant computer applications.

• Ability to collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary team.

Preferred Experience\n

While a minimum of 2 years of experience is required, candidates with additional experience in trauma therapy, crisis intervention, and group facilitation will be preferentially considered. Familiarity with various therapeutic modalities and a commitment to professional development are also valued.

Compensation and Benefits\n

The position offers a competitive salary ranging from $90,000 to $110,000 per year, commensurate with experience and qualifications. Benefits include:
