Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough trauma-informed assessments to evaluate patients' trauma histories, which will guide the development of personalized treatment plans.

• Create and implement individualized therapy plans that focus on trauma recovery, resilience-building, and overall mental wellness.

• Utilize evidence-based modalities, including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), to deliver effective individual and group therapy sessions.

• Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions, aiding patients in processing traumatic experiences and developing coping strategies to enhance healing.

• Collaborate with psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals to ensure integrated care pathways for all patients.

• Provide crisis intervention during trauma-related emergencies, offering support and resources to those in immediate need.

• Educate patients and their families about trauma responses, effective coping mechanisms, and resources available to assist them on their recovery journey.

• Maintain accurate and confidential patient documentation in accordance with all legal and ethical guidelines.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

You will primarily work with individuals who have experienced trauma, including survivors of abuse, neglect, or significant life-changing events. Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as an LMFT, LMHC, LCSW, or LCSW-R in New York state.

• Strong knowledge of trauma-related disorders and current trauma-informed treatment modalities.

• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to provide compassionate, non-judgmental support.

• Competence in using electronic health record (EHR) systems and other relevant computer applications.

Preferred Experience\n

Compensation and Benefits\n
