Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct trauma-informed assessments to gain insight into patients' histories, tailoring treatment plans to their specific needs.

• Utilize evidence-based methodologies, including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) in therapy sessions.

• Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions, providing a supportive space for patients to process their trauma and develop their coping strategies.

• Work in concert with psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals to deliver comprehensive, integrated care for all patients.

• Provide crisis intervention services during trauma-related emergencies to ensure patient safety and support.
\n
• Offer educational support to patients and their families about trauma responses, coping mechanisms, and available community resources.

• Maintain thorough, confidential documentation according to legal and ethical standards, ensuring all patient interactions are accurately recorded.

• Engage in regular case consultations, team meetings, and professional development focused on enhancing trauma-informed care practices.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Our patient population primarily consists of individuals who have experienced trauma, including survivors of domestic violence, abuse, and various forms of systemic trauma. As a therapist, you will engage with clients from diverse backgrounds, fostering an inclusive and understanding therapeutic space that honors their unique experiences and promotes healing.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as an LMFT, LMHC, LCSW, or LCSW-R in the state of New York.

• Strong foundational knowledge of trauma-related disorders and trauma-informed treatment methodologies.

Compensation and Benefits\n
