Work Environment\n

This role operates within a telehealth framework, allowing you to connect with patients remotely while upholding the same high standards of personal interaction and care. Our work environment facilitates flexibility and promotes innovative mental health practices, all while maintaining a strong emphasis on teamwork and communication. The typical work schedule is Monday through Friday, from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with the understanding that some flexibility may be required based on patient needs.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough trauma-informed mental health assessments to gain insights into patients' trauma histories and determine the most effective treatment paths.

• Design and implement individualized treatment plans that prioritize trauma recovery and the development of resilience-enabling coping strategies.

• Employ evidence-based therapeutic modalities, including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), tailored to meet the unique needs of each patient.

• Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions aimed at helping patients process trauma, express emotions, and cultivate healing.

• Collaborate closely with psychiatrists and multidisciplinary professionals to ensure a holistic approach to patient care, integrating various therapeutic strategies and resources.

• Provide effective crisis intervention and support during trauma-related emergencies to assist patients in managing immediate challenges.

• Educate patients and their families on trauma responses, coping mechanisms, and the importance of support networks, empowering them to navigate their healing journeys.

• Uphold thorough and accurate documentation in accordance with ethical standards and legal requirements, using electronic health record (EHR) systems for efficiency.

• Participate in case consultations and team meetings, continually contributing to a culture of learning focused on trauma-informed care best practices.

• Stay abreast of the latest research and developments in the field of trauma therapy to ensure high-quality treatment delivery.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

You will primarily work with trauma survivors who may experience PTSD, complex trauma, or dissociative disorders. Your expertise and empathetic approach will play a crucial role in helping these individuals address their challenges, learn effective coping strategies, and ultimately lead more fulfilling lives. The diversity of our client base will require you to adapt to varying needs and tailor your therapeutic approach accordingly.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current licensure as an LCSW, LCPC, or LMFT in the state of Illinois.

• Demonstrated knowledge of trauma-informed care principles and trauma-related disorders.
\n
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills paired with a compassionate, empathetic nature that fosters trust with clients.

• Proficiency in using EHR systems and various computer applications to manage patient information effectively.

• Ability to maintain composure in high-stress situations while providing support to patients in crisis.

Preferred Experience\n

While a minimum of two years of post-licensure experience is preferred, candidates with exceptional skills and a strong commitment to trauma recovery will also be considered. Experience specifically in trauma-focused therapies and interventions is highly beneficial, equipping you to engage with our clients effectively.

Compensation and Benefits\n
