Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive trauma-informed mental health assessments to accurately evaluate the histories and needs of your patients.

• Collaborate with patients to develop tailored, individualized treatment plans aimed at facilitating trauma recovery and enhancing resilience.

• Utilize proven therapeutic interventions, including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) to effectively treat trauma-related conditions.

• Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions to support patients in processing their trauma, developing coping strategies, and promoting optimal healing.

• Work closely with psychiatrists and multidisciplinary professionals to ensure a cohesive, integrated approach to patient care, especially during crisis situations.

• Provide emergency crisis intervention services when needed, ensuring immediate support for patients during heightened distress.

• Educate patients and their families on trauma responses, coping mechanisms, and available community resources.

• Maintain comprehensive and confidential electronic records in compliance with all legal and ethical standards.

• Engage in case consultations and participate in regular team meetings and professional development workshops, contributing to the team's collective knowledge in trauma-informed care.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your work will focus primarily on individuals who have experienced significant trauma and are struggling with related mental health issues. This includes clients diagnosed with PTSD, complex trauma, and dissociative disorders. You will play a critical role in guiding these individuals through their healing journeys, providing them with the tools they need to regain control and improve their quality of life.

Qualifications\n

• A master’s or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution is required.

• Valid licensure as an LMFT, LMHC, LCSW, or LCSW-R in the state of New York is necessary to practice in this position.

• A minimum of 2 years of post-licensure experience is preferred, with an emphasis on trauma-informed care practices.

Compensation and Benefits\n
