Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive trauma-informed mental health assessments to evaluate patients' trauma experiences and emotional well-being.

• Create and implement individualized treatment plans that are tailored to each patient's unique path to recovery and resilience.

• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic modalities, including but not limited to Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT).

• Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions, guiding patients in processing their trauma, developing effective coping strategies, and promoting ongoing healing.

• Work collaboratively with psychiatrists and an array of health professionals to ensure a holistic approach to patient care.

• Provide crisis intervention services during trauma-related emergencies, ensuring immediate support and safety for clients.
\n
• Educate patients and their families about trauma responses, establishing a clearer understanding of coping mechanisms and available resources.

• Maintain compliance with legal, ethical, and organizational documentation standards concerning patient confidentiality and treatment progress.

• Engage in case consultations, team meetings, and continuing education opportunities focused on enhancing trauma-informed care practices.

• Stay informed about the latest research and best practices in trauma therapy, ensuring the application of the most effective treatment approaches.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

The primary focus will be on supporting individuals who are survivors of trauma. Our patients may experience a variety of symptoms associated with trauma, including anxiety, depression, and relationship difficulties. This role requires a high level of empathy and understanding to effectively assist patients on their recovery journeys, reinforcing their resilience and helping them reclaim their lives.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as an LMFT, LMHC, LCSW, or LCSW-R in the state of New York.

• Strong foundational knowledge of trauma-related disorders and treatment protocols.
\n
• Proficient in electronic health record (EHR) systems and adept in using various computer applications to manage patient information.

• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, demonstrating a compassionate and non-judgmental approach in all interactions.

Preferred Experience\n

• A minimum of 2 years of post-licensure experience in a clinical setting, with a focus on trauma-informed care.

• Proven experience in delivering trauma-focused therapies and interventions with demonstrable success.

• Ability to remain composed in high-stress situations, effectively managing crisis interventions.

Compensation and Benefits\n
