Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive trauma-informed assessments to identify patients' histories and specific treatment needs.

• Design and execute individualized treatment plans that prioritize trauma recovery and resilience, collaborating with patients to set realistic goals.

• Utilize proven therapeutic interventions, including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), in both individual and group therapy sessions.

• Create a therapeutic atmosphere where patients feel safe to explore their trauma experiences, equipping them with coping strategies and fostering emotional regulation.

• Engage in interdisciplinary collaboration with psychiatrists and other health professionals to ensure comprehensive and holistic care for clients.

• Provide crisis intervention when needed, offering immediate support during trauma-related emergencies.
\n
• Educate both patients and their families about trauma responses, coping mechanisms, and available resources for further assistance.

• Maintain meticulous and confidential documentation of patient interactions, adhering to legal and ethical standards.

• Participate actively in case consultations, team meetings, and professional development opportunities, focusing on trauma-informed care trends and best practices.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Our primary focus is on individuals affected by trauma. Patients may vary from those experiencing acute stress reactions to long-term complications associated with PTSD and complex trauma. As a Mental Health Therapist at Embrace Life Behavioral Health Center, you will have the opportunity to work closely with these individuals, crafting person-centered treatment plans that respect their unique experiences and empower them throughout their healing journeys.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Valid licensure as an LMFT, LMHC, LCSW, or LCSW-R in New York State.

• Strong understanding of trauma-related disorders, trauma-informed treatment modalities, and resilience-building strategies.

• Demonstrated ability to deliver trauma-focused therapies effectively.

• Exceptional interpersonal skills, demonstrating empathy and a non-judgmental approach toward clients.

• Proficient in using electronic health record (EHR) systems and other relevant computer applications.

Preferred Experience\n

• Minimum of 2 years of post-licensure clinical experience preferred, specifically in trauma-informed care settings.

• Experience with evidence-based trauma therapies is highly desirable.

Compensation and Benefits\n

This position offers a competitive annual salary range of $90,000 to $110,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
