Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive trauma-informed mental health assessments to evaluate patients' trauma history, emotional state, and readiness for treatment.

• Develop individualized treatment plans that prioritize trauma recovery, resilience-building, and overall well-being.

• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic interventions, including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), to facilitate healing.

• Provide both individual and group therapy sessions, helping patients to process their trauma and develop adaptive coping strategies.

• Work collaboratively with psychiatrists and other mental health professionals to ensure an integrated and multidisciplinary approach to care.

• Deliver crisis intervention services as needed, ensuring immediate support is available during trauma-related emergencies.

• Educate patients and their support networks on trauma responses and effective coping mechanisms, fostering a deeper understanding of their experiences.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

As a mental health therapist at The Outlet, you will primarily serve individuals coping with the aftermath of trauma. This includes children, adolescents, and adults who may be grappling with a range of issues from PTSD to complex trauma. Your role will involve developing trusting relationships with clients, allowing them to feel secure in sharing their experiences as part of their healing journey.

Qualifications\n

• A master’s or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as an LCSW, LMHC, or LMFT in the state of New York.

• At least two years of post-licensure experience is preferred, particularly in trauma-focused therapy settings.

Compensation and Benefits\n
