Work Environment\n

This role provides the flexibility of a remote work setting while being connected to our outpatient office in Mesquite. The standard work schedule is Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with some flexibility depending on patient needs. Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive trauma-informed mental health assessments to evaluate patients' trauma histories and develop tailored treatment plans.

• Implement individualized strategies focused on trauma recovery, resilience-building, and overall mental wellness.
\n
• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic interventions, including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT).

• Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions that assist patients in processing their trauma and mastering coping strategies.
\n
• Collaborate with psychiatrists and interdisciplinary team members to ensure integrated and holistic patient care.
\n
• Provide crisis intervention and support during trauma-related emergencies, demonstrating immediate and effective response skills.
\n
• Educate patients and their families about trauma responses, available resources, and coping mechanisms to promote understanding and engagement.

• Maintain meticulous and confidential documentation in compliance with ethical and legal standards.

• Engage in case consultations, team meetings, and continuing education opportunities to enhance trauma-informed practices.

• Keep abreast of the latest research and developments in trauma therapy to continually refine clinical approaches.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

The patients you will be working with have faced various forms of trauma and may present with complex needs, including those suffering from PTSD, developmental trauma, and dissociative disorders. Your role is to provide supportive, empathetic care tailored to each patient’s unique journey towards recovery, promoting healing and fostering resilience in a caring environment.

Qualifications\n

• Master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Active license as an LCSW, LPC, Psychologist, or LMFT in the state of Texas.
\n
• Strong understanding of trauma-related disorders and trauma-informed treatment strategies.
\n
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a strong emphasis on a compassionate and non-judgmental approach.

• Ability to work effectively under pressure while maintaining composure and empathy.
\n
• Experience and proficiency in using electronic health record (EHR) systems and relevant computer applications.

• A collaborative mindset, ready to contribute as part of a multidisciplinary team.

Preferred Experience\n

While a minimum of 2 years of post-licensure clinical experience is preferred, candidates with substantial field experience in delivering trauma-focused therapies, especially in outpatient settings, will be highly regarded. Experience dealing with high-stress clinical situations and providing crisis intervention is an advantage.

Compensation and Benefits\n
