Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct trauma-informed mental health assessments to thoroughly evaluate patients’ trauma history, leading to tailored treatment strategies.

• Design, implement, and regularly update individualized treatment plans that prioritize trauma recovery and resilience-building.
\n
• Employ evidence-based therapeutic interventions, including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), adapted for individual clients.

• Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions, guiding patients through processes to help them articulate their trauma experiences, develop coping mechanisms, and foster emotional healing.
\n
• Work closely with psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals to ensure that each patient receives integrated, comprehensive care.
\n
• Provide necessary crisis intervention and support during trauma-related emergencies, maintaining a calm and supportive presence.
\n
• Educate patients and their families about trauma responses, coping strategies, and available community resources to further support recovery.
\n
• Document all clinical activities accurately and confidentially, adhering to legal and ethical standards.

• Participate in ongoing case consultations, professional development, and team meetings that focus on enhancing trauma-informed care practices.

• Stay current with research findings and innovations in the field of trauma therapy to continuously improve service delivery.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

You will work primarily with clients who have experienced significant trauma, including those with PTSD, complex trauma, and dissociative disorders. Your role will be crucial in supporting these individuals as they navigate their recovery journeys. Your expertise will guide them through therapeutic techniques that validate their experiences and foster hope for the future.

Qualifications\n

• Master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Valid licensure (LCSW, LMHC, or LMFT) in the state of New York.
\n
• A strong foundation in trauma-related disorders and treatment modalities.
\n
• Documented experience with trauma-focused therapies.
\n
• Outstanding interpersonal skills and a compassionate, non-judgmental approach to client care.

• Strong proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems and Microsoft Office applications.

• Ability to work effectively as part of a team.

Preferred Experience\n

• Two years of post-licensure experience is preferred, ideally in a clinical or community health setting that specializes in trauma.

Compensation and Benefits\n
