Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough, trauma-informed assessments to evaluate patients’ mental health and trauma histories, ensuring appropriate and personalized treatment plans are developed.

• Design and implement individualized treatment plans that foster trauma recovery, integrating modalities such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT).

• Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions, employing therapeutic techniques that assist clients in processing their experiences, developing coping mechanisms, and promoting personal healing journeys.

• Work collaboratively with psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals, ensuring a coordinated approach to client care and addressing any medical concerns that may affect mental health.

• Provide emergency crisis intervention and support during trauma-related incidents, promoting immediate safety and psychological support.
\n
• Educate clients and their family members about trauma responses, available resources, and potential coping strategies, thus fostering understanding and support systems.

• Maintain thorough and confidential documentation compliant with all legal and ethical standards, contributing to the continuity of care for our patients.

• Participate in case consultations and team meetings, sharing insights and gaining knowledge about best practices for trauma-informed care.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your work will primarily focus on individuals who have faced trauma, including those suffering from post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), complex trauma, and dissociative disorders. By providing targeted interventions and therapy, you will be instrumental in helping clients navigate their healing process and reclaim their narratives.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as an LCSW, LMHC, or LMFT in New York State.
\n
• A strong knowledge base of trauma-related disorders and trauma-informed treatment practices is essential.

• Exceptional interpersonal skills, allowing for compassionate engagement with clients, demonstrating a supportive and non-judgmental demeanor.

• Strong organizational skills, including proficiency with electronic health record (EHR) systems to maintain accurate patient files.

Preferred Experience\n

Compensation and Benefits\n
