Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough mental health assessments utilizing trauma-informed care principles to evaluate each patient's unique history and treatment needs.

• Design and implement individualized treatment plans aimed at fostering resilience and promoting trauma recovery.

• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic interventions such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) to support clients in processing their experiences.

• Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions, creating a safe space for clients to explore their trauma, learn coping strategies, and engage in healing practices.

• Provide crisis intervention and stabilization support during emergencies, ensuring clients feel secure and understood in difficult moments.

• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate care, sharing insights and treatment strategies to optimize patient outcomes.

• Educate clients and their families on trauma responses and healthy coping mechanisms, empowering them through knowledge and resources.

• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient interactions and treatment plans, adhering to legal and ethical standards.

• Participate in ongoing professional development opportunities, staying informed on the latest advancements in trauma therapy and best practices.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

This role is centered around clients who have experienced various forms of trauma, including but not limited to childhood trauma, domestic violence, and traumatic loss. You will play a pivotal role in guiding clients through their recovery process, employing a compassionate approach that respects their personal experiences and promotes healing.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Active and valid licensure as an LCSW, LPC, Psychologist, or LMFT in the state of Texas.

• A minimum of two years of post-licensure experience in a mental health setting, preferably with a focus on trauma.

• Strong foundation in trauma-related disorders and trauma-informed treatment modalities.

• Exceptional interpersonal skills with an empathetic and patient-centered approach to care.

Compensation and Benefits\n
