Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough, trauma-informed mental health assessments to better understand patients' trauma histories and establish effective treatment strategies.

• Design and implement individualized treatment plans that emphasize trauma recovery, building resilience, and personal growth.

• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic modalities, including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), to deliver optimal patient care.

• Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions aimed at helping patients process their trauma, develop coping strategies, and promote emotional healing.

• Collaborate closely with psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals to ensure a comprehensive and integrated approach to patient care.

• Provide crisis intervention support during trauma-related emergencies, addressing urgent mental health needs as they arise.

• Educate patients and their families on the effects of trauma, healthy coping mechanisms, and available resources to aid their recovery journey.

• Maintain accurate and confidential documentation in line with legal and ethical standards.

• Participate in case consultations and professional development activities that focus on trauma-informed care strategies.

• Stay updated with the latest research and best practices in trauma therapy to continually enhance service delivery.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Qualifications\n

• A Master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in Texas.

• Strong knowledge of trauma-related disorders and trauma-informed treatment modalities.
\n
• Proficiency in conducting trauma-informed assessments and developing appropriate therapeutic interventions.
\n
• Excellent communication skills with a compassionate, non-judgmental approach to patient interaction.
\n
• Ability to remain composed in high-stress situations, fostering a sense of safety for patients.

• Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems and basic computer applications.

Preferred Experience\n

• At least two years of post-licensure experience working in a mental health setting, particularly with trauma survivors.

Compensation and Benefits\n
